The space

Hillandale House is a modern and totally off grid farmhouse tucked away in the forest with complete privacy and spectacular forest and mountain views. Enjoy amazing birdlife, tranquility and beautiful walks. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but only 5 minutes to stunning beaches, 10 minutes from Plett , the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to Hillandale and feel away from it all.

Guest access

The house will be open and ready with the keys on the counter and it is self check in. There is a pool up at the main house that guests are able to use. Our land is 19 hectares, most of which is indigenous forest. Guests are welcome to hike or ride all around.

Other things to note

All the houses on our land are completely off the grid. We use stored rain water for all water needs and solar energy for all electricity. This means no threat of load shedding, ever! Please use water conservatively and only use the dishwasher and washing machine during the day.

We have 3 very friendly golden retrievers and 3 cats that roam our property freely. They do sometimes visit our guests.

Please note, Hillandale House backs onto beautiful indigenous forest. This means there are insects, birds and sometimes other wildlife around. It is not an urban or hotel experience, but a proper escape to nature.
